A modernised version of Cessna’s well-known CJ1 Citation Jet, the Citation M2 is Cessna’s newest VLJ (Very Light Jet) and its successor to the highly-successful Citation Mustang – the category leader (which ceased new production in May 2017). The M2 features a new wing design, with the addition of winglets, plus a more modern avionics package with more efficient Williams FJ44 turbofan engines.
Together, these allow the new M2 to have a greater payload with increased range, better flying characteristics, and a faster cruise speed than the CJ1 – or indeed than any other VLJ available.
